1.	Nature, in all Her abundance, provides food more than 6 billion human beings every day. And in our day to day struggle for food and survival, we use up nearly a ¼ of the earth’s terrestrial surface for cultivation.
2.	Hundreds of Nature’s crop varieties, cultivated over centuries, have provided food for man since the dawn of civilization
3.	Yet the harsh truth is that today, 75% of genetic diversity of agricultural crops has been lost
4.	For the 2.6 billion people around the world who depend directly on agriculture cultivation for their living, this is a travesty of untold proportions
5.	For the 99% of humanity that depends on cultivation for its calories, the consequences are equally dire…
6.	Close to 852 million people still go hungry each day. And by 2020, another 2 billion more will need food for survival.
7.	But sadly, human activities are destroying Nature’s most precious gift: Her vast biodiversity.
8.	Biodiversity, for millions of the world’s poor, means food security; it means freedom from hunger and malnutrition…
9.	…and at GREEN, this fact drives us in our work every single day.
10.	This December, we, at GREEN, celebrated Nature and her biodiversity
