Digital Green is a research project that seeks to disseminate targeted agricultural information to small and marginal farmers in India using digital video.
The unique components of Digital Green arePhoto1965 resized

  • A participatory process for content production
  • A locally generated digital video database
  • A human-mediated instruction model for dissemination and training, and
  • Regimented sequencing to initiate new communities.

GREEN Foundation partnered with Digital Green to strengthen the rural community by integrating information and communication into Agriculture. Community Service Providers selected from the community are trained on the video production and dissemination skills to document sustainable agricultural practices. These videos will be broadcasted in the rural communities by the CSPs encouraging them to adopt the practices. Adoptions of the recommended practices will be tracked to monitor the progress and new videos will be produced based on the feedback from the community
